The Arab Academy for science, technology and maritime transport, the Academy of scientific research and Technology, signed today" Sunday", a memorandum of understanding to enhance cooperation and support entrepreneurs and technological projects.
This comes within the framework of enhancing cooperation between the Arab Academy and its various entities, including the Academy for information and communication technology company, the entrepreneurship center of the Arab Academy, and the programs and initiatives of the Academy of scientific research .
The memorandum of understanding was signed by His Excellency Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, president of the academy, and Dr. Gina elfeki, president of the Academy of scientific research and technology, where the signing ceremony was held at the Academy's branch in Heliopolis. The memorandum aims to expand the scope of cooperation and create new initiatives in graduation projects, launch specialized business incubators in cooperation with the intilaq program of the Academy of scientific research, establish an entrepreneurship club within the Arab Academy, support the startup accelerator program of the entrepreneurship center of the Arab Academy through the "business accelerator 101" program of the Academy of scientific research.
Commenting on the memorandum of understanding, Prof. Dr. Gina elfeki said that the Academy of scientific research and technology is working to find innovative solutions to economic, social and environmental challenges that already exist in various governorates of Egypt, through its various programs, the most important of which are the specialized technology incubators program ( intilaq), the Business Accelerators program 101, as well as graduation projects programs, in order to support the development of innovative solutions to various challenges in the economic sectors targeted by Egypt's Vision 2030, which reflects positively on comprehensive and sustainable economic development.
"Elfeki" expressed her happiness to be present at the Arab Academy, and to cooperate in many fields, the most important of which is research, as well as supporting young entrepreneurs from Egyptian universities and startups, as Her Excellency explained that this cooperation is a complement to initiatives and programs that have achieved success stories in cooperation between the two parties.
In turn, Prof. Dr.Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag, president of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, with its various entities and branches, spares no effort in providing various means of support to Arab and Egyptian youth, in order to qualify young people, entrepreneurs and innovators to establish their own start-up companies, and work to provide elements of growth and stability to those companies in the labor market, which contributes to raising their competitiveness. Dr.Ismail Abdel Ghafar, also expressed his happiness with the continuation of successful cooperation with the Academy of scientific research and technology, in many programs, stressing the continued role of the Arab Academy and its affiliated entities in supporting young entrepreneurs and innovators.
Dr.Ismail Abdel Ghafar, stressed his support for new initiatives of cooperation between the two sides in sustainable fields and innovation in the green hydrogen sector, for example, and cooperation in supporting the eighth and new cycle of the Cairo International Innovation Fair organized by the Academy of scientific research and technology, which is considered one of the most important exhibitions supporting innovation in Egypt and the Arab world.
